I have a lot of contempt for the Grand Oil Party composed of miscreant masters and mental midget rank and file sheeple, as a general rule, and on the national scale. There is not a single Republican in any state I would vote to send to the House or Senate. I hope my registered Republican friends will vote their conscience, and not their party. I consider the RNC and electoral leadership nothing short of insidious evil and political cancer. Their rank and file sheeple are mainly Taliban Christianites, cheering for death and hate, with a Bible used as the blunt force traumatising instrument. Honest to God, (no pun intended) short of death by natural causes, I don’t think anything can be done with this party, just get them out.
The Dummycratic Party is led by the most spineless political creatures imaginable — waiting for a raging rabid elephant to run off the cliff of sanity. Why wait? Is there some question of peaceful coexistence? Meaningful dialog? No, I am not happy with the Democratic Party leadership. They failed to stand up to the GOP. They failed to adopt principles. They failed to present an alternative vision. They failed us. The GOP leadership will be insulated from prosecution, by ex post facto rules, and a Nuremberg defense. Why did the Dems let it go that far? Once the Dem “leadership” is gone, there is something to genuinely work with.
I hope people will vote for almost any viable alternative candidate to the GOP, in general, and a third party candidate (secular, non bigoted, environmentally sensitive and sensible, for aggressive funding of education, pro American, sees America as part of planetary management, and against the damned war) if possible.
Right now the GOP is the fifth column delivering this nation to the barbarians and third rate status.

It’s now official. Much of the hype about global warming is nothing but a complete scam.
Thanks to hackers (or an insider) who broke into The University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) and downloaded 156 megaybytes of data including extremely damaging emails, we now know that data supporting the global warming thesis was completely fabricated.
I am questioning if this was really the work of hackers. It could just as easily be an inside job of some disgruntled worker deciding to expose the CRU.

Please find below my suggestion for fixing America’s economy. Instead of giving billions and billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan. You can call it the “Patriotic Retirement Plan”…
There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force. Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:
1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings – Unemployment fixed.
2) They MUST buy a new American CAR. Forty million cars ordered Auto Industry fixed.
3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage Housing Crisis fixed.
It can’t get any easier than that.
P.S. If more money is needed, have all members in Congress pay their taxes…

Obviously, debating those who believe in tooth fairy economics and money trees is a waste. They are consumed by flag burning, defense of marriage, waging war in Iraq when 15 Saudis with Al Qaida and the enabling Taliban were responsible for 9-11 as well as a stream of events during the Clinton administration, meaning Bush/Cheney watched 9-11 happen. Granted the excuse for this is the ascent and domination of tabloid politics and gossip representing physics, chemistry, political science, economics, history, engineering, computer programming, tax policy, trade and so forth. While there are exceptions, most people are better versed in what girl the latest rap star banged last week, which country star is getting a divorce, Tiger Woods list of copulating partners, what purse, hairstyle, who saw who, boob job MD, image vehicle, meth availability, dollar menu, and coke quality.
I remembered getting something like a $50 tax rebate when I was framing houses back in the eighties and thinking that some people are getting $50,000 back and why that was, when they already had more money than me and other working trades people. Taking myself out of the working class set — they collectively decided that Reagan was correct and supply side quack economics was correct (even though they didn’t understand any type of economics). Huge tax cuts were passed and vast amounts of capital rushed to the top of the economic pyramid, heightening it dramatically. When heightening couldn’t keep up with the flow of capital to the top, capital blew out of the top and into means of production out of the country — remember maquiladoros? China under Deng Jiao Peng in 1978 had embraced state/social capitalism and with a grossly undervalued work force/means of production (it still is) was ready to absorb and give a reasonable ROI. This opened capital hydrant to China has swollen to incredible proportions. The value added products in the form of domestic means of production were transferred largely and in some cases, wholly overseas. This has left us with some currency, t-bill IOUs — a lot of paper.
Tax cuts meant, less ability to enforce, raise or even maintain standards in education, CPSC, health, improve transportation and environmental standards. The tax write offs for energy cogeneration, solar, wind and geothermal energy were removed, along with the solar panaels on the White House. So Info, I have to believe you are aware that this has been worse than devastating to the middle classes and allowed additional vast sums of capital to go to the Middle East where that capital funded whatever it the capital funded.
After leaving framing due to lower back issues and going into auto sales and then becoming a stock broker, I saw that tax cuts for the middle class and working people preferentially would be most helpful to to adding value to wealth via increased demand. The wealthy were just sending capital overseas and my broker dealer was actually in the game of doing just that.
The GOP used the Fed to keep things going at the lowest level possible and focused on tax cuts and economic extortion of capital from politically duped working people and the then adoring middle classes.
The Dems used the Fed to get the economy roaring with a little higher inflation, and never really addressed the tax cuts for the wealthy (including corporate tax rates). Under Clinton, the economy really did take off, but class inequity did not change. Bernanke is doing the bidding of whoever is in power serving at their pleasure as all predecessors have done.
Keep in mind that almost everything spent on war is inflationary because value is not being added to anything, in fact wealth is being consumed and destroyed, leaving paper or gold and silver. Keep in mind also that when the wealthy redistribute their value added wealth converted into currency IOUs (capital) societies including our own have collectively ALLOWED them to do so and be overcompensated for the “work” they do.
It is certainly not legal to hurl these economic parasites through windows into “Wall Street” below, even if it were patriotic to do so. Our society has skewed things to Aristotle’s dictum; “the rich shall come first.”
To me the biggest difference between the beggar and the baron snorting coke, is the beggar consumes less and may not steal. They both live off societies gifts (included is gifting the ability to extort, cheat, set up Enrons and its dummy corporations), one is considered respectable while plundering 401Ks, retirement plans, bankrupting employing corporations, going to church, insulting and demeaning waiters, working people, people of color, engaging in discrimination of all sorts.
The one of the first questions the thinking inquisitive class should ask is: How close does the currency compensation match the value added wealth of ones “work”? A reasonable second question is: If there is overcompensation for some, how much in the way are they of those desiring education, opportunity and health care, so they can be more productive of value adding wealth longer? A third question is: Why is there so much legal protection for these types? What exactly is so important to working people, people of colors (from “White” to “Black” and any other “color”) the middle classes, and anyone who actually adds value to wealth?

We the people (I had that on my political campaign posters, hopefully I will never be confused with teabaggers) have allowed the Wealthy, Rich and Powerful to scuttle this nation, believing every idiotic pie in the sky ignorance, steeped in tabloid rubbish, knowing everything there is to know about Paris Hilton’s sex life, Brittany Spears underwear, Jon and Kate8, Guiding Light, The World Turns, Peyton Place, and who what and where this star or that media darling did what with whom. The Fed is unworthy of Gossip and a mere symptom of society giving away myriad rights. America is Gossip, delusional and to repeat again shockingly and profoundly ignorant.
