Laugh Your Aspen Off Standup Comedy Troupe Returns to Carbondale January 6th at ‘Black Box’
Thunder River’s 200-seat theater expects SRO for all-local show
ASPEN – Having sold out three performances in Aspen and Carbondale, the all-local standup comedy of Laugh Your Aspen Off returns to Carbondale Saturday, January 6th at the Thunder River Theater Company’s 200-seat Black Box Theater.
More than 80 were turned away in Carbondale Dec. 9th as the 65-seat Steve’s Guitars showroom hosted its largest crowd – musical or otherwise – in more than 500 shows.
The lineup this time features eight men and two women, each a local with a point of view about life in the Roaring Fork Valley. The troupe welcomes new comics Kevin Jordan and Alexa Fitzpatrick to the show this Saturday, as original members Frankie Safferwich and Mike Milota have prior commitments which prevent their appearance on Jan. 6th.
The Black Box Theater is at 67 Promenade; downtown in the New Town Center, bordered by Main St. to the South, Colorado Ave. to the North, and 4th and 6th Streets to the East and West.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with showtime at 8:30 p.m. The cost remains $10 per person for the 18-and-over show. Advance tickets may be purchased at Great Divide Music, 11 So. Monarch St. in Aspen, and at Sounds Easy, 0902 Hwy. 133 in Carbondale. Tickets at the door, if available, are $10; cash and checks only.

The LYAO troupe is sponsored by KSPN, The Aspen Daily News and Plum TV. It remains under consideration by HBO for inclusion in the 2007 HBO Comedy Festival in Aspen Feb. 28-March 4, with a mid-January announcement anticipated.
