ASPEN, COLORADO (Post Time News)–Chef Glenn Smith of the Cooking School of Aspen could not remain an open secret forever.
You like you’re pasta with standup, then Glenn Smith is your guy, and nowhere are his talents as a chef–and as an entertainer–more obvious than in the Cooking School’s Friday Night Improv class. Smith, now attracting interest from television networks is featured in the May 2007 edition of Tradtional Home magazine.
“Chef Glenn Smith’s Friday Night Improv class at the Cooking School of Aspen is as much entertainment as cooking instruction,” writes Carroll Stoner in the magazine. “And if that weren’t enough to recommend it, it’s located in picturesque Aspen, Colorado.”
For the magazine’s visit, Smith, a familiar fixture downtown, served up the trout he caught himself “and prosciutto garnished with horseradish sauce as a quick, easy–toassemble, and delicious first course.” Smith, a fly fishing guide, was described by the magazine however inadequately as “a caterer, personal chef, and teacher-entertainer.”
“Tonight,” Smith told his class, “we’ll make dinner, but we’re going to have fun and laugh, too. I was an art major who got hungry, so I use food as my medium and want to teach yiou tow to make it beautiful.”
