The center of gravity in the valley in the summer is, obviously, the sundry escapes available in the city–Food and Wine, the Aspen Music Festival, Theatre Aspen, and so on and so forth. But Snowmass Village can no longer be faulted for not trying to do something about it. With the free Fanny Hill concerts, the Chili & Brew Fest, Massive Movies, and a brand-new Parrot Head hoedown, Snowmass is pushing the envelope of the possible in the long shadow of the Aspen arts and entertainment scene.
