America’s influence in the Middle East weighs more than a barrel of oil. We were instrumental in overthrowing the democratically elected government of Iran and installing the Shah along with a police state that rivaled Saddam’s. America is best buddies to the tyrannical rulers of Saudi Arabia and we are the power behind Israel’s inhumane oppression of the Palestinian people. We invaded Iraq against world opinion in league with Tonga, Palau, Estonia, et al. and have sold most of Iraq’s oil to corporations that merge into the Oval Office.
Our bombs murder thousands. We arrest innocent people, torture them and are then surprised when all this comes back as “blowback,” when “evil terrorists” attack us. When we invaded Iraq over 70 per cent of Americans believed Saddam was responsible for 911 and to this day almost 50 percent are still deceived. The majority of the citizens of the United States are brainwashed because the media facilitates government propaganda. Let’s forget inane disputes about rather the main stream media leans right or left. They lean towards the corporations who own them and the politicians the corporations own.
During the Republican debates one candidate, Representative Ron Paul, actually spoke the truth. He had the audacity to insist that our foreign interventions may have been partially responsible for 911 and that it would be in our interest to be aware of the consequences of our actions. This ignited a tirade from Rudy Giuliani. To his and to our everlasting disgrace a candidate for president of the U.S. labeled reality “absurd” and demanded that Paul retract his statement. The brainwashed audience cheered.
Ron Paul is the only candidate from either party advocating fundamental change. He is the only threat to the industrial, military, government complex on the Republican Party’s stage. Said complex foretold by Eisenhower and is, as he warned, the greatest peril America has yet confronted. Therefore, predictably, Paul is being attacked, slandered and his words distorted by the media.
News flash! Astonishing yet true! For almost a century Americans have paid a cartel of private banks, our Central Bank, the Federal Reserve System, interest on dollars that are printed out of thin air. What a deal! But why did Congress sell its soul and permit this to happen? Answer; the Fed allows our elected officials to enthusiastically spend without raising taxes.
Our government simply prints tons of money, then in order to avoid responsibly, borrows these crisp new bills, paying the Fed whatever interest the Fed, itself, deems appropriate. Every pound is spent to buy whatever pork is on the table, to finance wars and to foster corruption on a massive scale. This causes inflation, the greatest hidden tax ever conceived. Meanwhile, a cartel of very powerful bankers controls our economy and wields immense power.
Wondering who is the only candidate attempting to save America from this treason? Who has vowed to abolish the Fed, income tax and malicious foreign involvement? Who threatens the power that threatens your freedom? Who is worthy of your attention? Since the first Republican debate the Vegas odds on Paul’s winning the presidency have leaped from 200 to1 to 15 to 1. Why? According to the sponsor’s own polls Paul and his message won the debates, the first by a wide margin. Haven’t heard of Ron Paul? Fire up your computer and join the revolution. (Best hurry, the bastards are working day and night to gain control over the Internet and when they do, the party is over.)

Will,
I share many of your concerns regarding the corruption of the mission of the federal govt. It is now merely the recapitulation of corporate interests misleadingly called contractors. It is not only a contract, but control of govt. and protected augmentation, at least, of “contractor” assetts.”
Ron Paul has been around a long time, so has Lyndon La Rouche.

…which is why he will never be “selected” president. Face it, our electoral system has been corrupted by Diebold electronic voting. No one who doesn’t go along the neo-con’s agenda is going to be allowed to hold the office of president.
I agree though that Ron Paul would be an excellent people’s choice. I’d certainly vote for him if he became the Republican candidate. He beats all of the Democratic hopefuls by a wide mile.
Too bad it’s not in the people’s hands anymore.

He won’t become the GOP candidate. As a former libertarian, he is the enemy of the military industrial complex and friend to a tiny minority of tax protesting wealthy people and a few secular anti-govt Republic of Texas types. Some of what he has said over the years has been excellent a lot even, but it is always the I don’t want any taxes issue that is the agenda. This I believe opens the door to nationalists to sieze power, a worse situation than the corporate pigs feeding out of the trough of taxpayers. The idea of privatising govt responsibilities, is one I will never support.

Wow,
A voice in the wilderness. Well said brother Will. I still don’t have much in the way of electricity or the devices that use them to connect me to the “real” world so although I have indeed heard of Ron Paul, and everything I have heard is interesting, I will withhold my wasted (as many of my past votes it seems) Diebold cast vote until I get a better grip on this Ron Paul character.
But back to the real reality…Dems vs. Repubs!!! One hand washing the other.., all the way to the bank as brother Will would say.
Yes, I’m back, even if only for a short time. No, I have not changed the world yet (its going to take awhile) but, I am working on it. We have been given a window of opportunity, and that window is 9/11 (and the Bushman).
That event and the bushmans policies are pivotal points of reference and when the light of day exposes them for what they truly are, the window becomes a door of opportunity for real change.
Optimistic…, oh yeah. But I don’t have anything better to do(besides work, work, work, work) and hey, its not rocket science, or brain surgery, but then again, maybe it is a little bit like brain AND heart surgery. Hoo..ah, settle down now.
Anyway, pay attention, prepare yourselves, stay optimistic, quit counting the trees (like they are still doing over there on “here we go again”), call it a forest and kick your pony out(if ya got one, step out yourself if ya don’t) and ride-walk to the ridgeline where you can start to get a veiw of the big picture. Then work your way to the highest peak around so you can really see what is happening. Thank the heavens for allowing you the sight, come back down, kiss the ground and spread the word about what you saw.
Do not get caught up in the intellectual babble though because it will only weigh you down. Balance…”float like a butterfly…sting like a bee”!
reckless G…give me a call if you still have my #. Yours is in my pack in another town but I will be in Glenwood Sat doing b-ness and cking out the berry fest. Would love to talk about the good things happening in NYC and what you have been up to.
And.. before sending this I took a peak to see if anyone had replied since I began writing and I see that brother Edward has sent a conformation to what I had feared and why I hesitated casting my wasted vote so soon.
Later…Star Eagle

Well kiss my butt running… (if you can catch me…)
I’ll be dang’d! Star Eagle is back. That is way too cool, why?… I’ll elude to that in a minute.
Star, not sure if you are aware of the get-together I’m hosting next weekend. But, I’ll pause here and respectfully ask you to pull up either “Jim Bob Jumpback’s Crystal River Honky-Tonk Hoedown” or “It happened again… NO KIDDING” posts here. They are both still on homepage, not archived.
Go there and read the comments, plans, etc. I am hosting the Circle of Intellect, starting next Saturday, the 24th. We have 8 folks confirmed, so far. YOU were one of several I mentioned in comments that I wished could be there. Conniff will be there. Reckless will be there. Troy will be there. Wharf Rat will be there, … etc. etc.
Go to either of those two blogs and get the info.
Honestly, without getting all sappy…. I’ve missed you and your thoughts and words here immensely.
You know that we connect here with our mutual thoughts, and you know that we are very much alike in our ideas/thoughts.
As for your post here… absolutely awesome… and I couldn’t agree more. I’ll add more later.
The infamous Sue Gray will be here a week from tomorrow (hopefully we’ll get a few Shiner Bocks in her and have some fun… intellectual fun!) Admission is free. Just show your butt up here, dangit! Talk soon! — J (I’ll reply to this post later!)
