Control your hounds or else. “Ask anyone and they will tell you that Aspen is a dog friendly town,” writes Hemstreet. “They’ll say how wonderful it is that our citizen’s embrace the hound, allowing them to do as they please. It is true, Aspen is a place where canines have inalienable rights and are treated with respect (often with more respect than people show one another). I’ve even heard someone say that the dogs here seem “unusually happy.” Call me a jerk, but often times the healthy population of mutts in Aspen makes me unusually miserable.”
