“Aspen Santa Fe Ballet has brought joy and creative abandon to a holiday classic.” – Santa Fe New Mexican
This beloved tradition comes around just once a year but creates lifelong memories…Children of all ages will marvel at the magic of this sumptuous production with its magnificent sets, high energy dancing and a cast of 60 dancers, actors and circus artists. Year after year, The Nutcracker brings families together for the holidays!
Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Mixed Repertory
February 14 & 16 at 7:30 pm
“It’s a class act, a classic act, and an extraordinarily engaging act: it’s the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet.” -Clive Barnes, New York Post
Share the passion of dance…After crisscrossing the globe from Italy to Guatemala, St. Louis to Hawaii, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet is back home with a blockbuster program of innovative new work never before seen in Aspen! Our latest acquisition is Slingerland by William Forsythe, the famed choreographer who revolutionized the Frankfurt Ballet. Helen Pickett, our latest discovery, created a new ballet especially for our dancers. Karole Armitage’s mysterious Time is the echo and hot Finnish choreographer Jorma Elo’s 1st Flash completes this spectacular program.

Diavolo
February 27 & 28 at 7:30 pm
“Sly and effortless…unforgettable…mechanistic lyricism…their high-risk maneuvers are an impressive metaphor for the treachery of romance…A dazzling performance!!” -San Diego Union Tribune
Experience athleticism at its best…After two sold-out appearances in Aspen, Diavolo has become an audience favorite. Comprised of dancers, gymnasts and actors who create performances collaboratively, this innovative ensemble uses everyday items such as doors, chairs and stairways to provide the backdrop for dramatic movement – leaping, flying and twirling, creating poetic metaphors for the challenge of relationships, the absurdities of life and the struggle to maintain our humanity in an increasingly technological world.
Black Grace
March 28 & 29 at 7:30 pm
“…spine-tingling power…a light-hearted, unpretentious and thoroughly infectious show.” -Dance Magazine
Feel the raw power of movement…All the way from New Zealand, Black Grace is a one of a kind experience. This all-male company is known for its dynamic dancers, predominantly of Pacific Island and Maori heritage. Athletic and powerful, the dancers combine traditional and contemporary dance forms to create a program like no other. Black Grace’s appeal crossed international boundaries evidenced by their many performances throughout the world. This is an exclusive U.S. tour and we are proud to present them in Aspen for the first time!
