Natural Food Lovers in the mid-roaring fork valley; keep your spirits up! Whole Foods —which has an option to opt out of building a store at Willits—will instead ask for a smaller outlet for town centre. The original deal for a 44 thousand square foot grocery store will be trimmed for cheaper space and a downsized footprint—-still whole foods—-but if plans go through it will be one of the smallest outlets of the chain—at about 25, 000 square feet.
On the opposite side of health food lies the report of a new study that shows Coloradans more likely to smoke pot—-although drinking less alcohol.
The national survey on drug use and health, a federal program, showed Colorado to be the only state to show a drop in the rate of binge drinking.
The flip side: the survey team also found that many more state residents are prone to smoke marijuana.
