Local lodging reservations are definitely increasing—with nearly full occupancy forecast for the weekend in Aspen and throughout the Roaring Fork Valley—but the look ahead indicates a return to cautious bargain hunting for travel to destination resorts—–just too many good deals out there—great for the consumer—but unless prices locally match what’s happening elsewhere—will Aspen remain a viable choice?

Whole Foods and developer Joseph Freed and Associates are still working to bring an outlet to Willits Towne Center——it’s expected within the next few weeks that the natural foods giant will announce intentions to build a 24 thousand square foot store.   Original plans were for a footprint of 44 thousand square feet.
