Re: “Budget year to start in $384 million hole” Tim Hoover/Denver Post/6/23/09
Colorado Governor Bill Ritter faced a news conference in Denver yesterday saying, “Balancing next year’s budget will mean making even more difficult choices.”
As Denver Post journalist Tim Hoover reported, “The state will need to take $249 million set aside for next year’s budget to pay for a short fall in the current fiscal year…by using cash funds meant for later, the state faces a $384 million shortfall.”
On the Peter Boyles Show at www.khow.com, a caller said, “Colorado is in a progression of following California’s long process of deterioration by allowing illegal immigrants to break that state’s budget.”
Boyles presented the public with an interview of an illegal Mexican, in the Sanctuary City of Boulder, whose daughter suffered from a rare disease, but taxpayers footed the bill. Another caller chimed in, “I wish I could have my daughter’s $12,000.00 medical bills paid for by taxpayers, but that ain’t gonna’ happen because I am a legal citizen.”
Boyles noted the hypocrisy of Coloradans paying for illegal immigrant Mexicans’ medical bills. Those bills, including Jackpot Babies or Anchor Babies, cost Colorado taxpayers $82 million annually.
In California, their illegal immigration population started small and now exceeds four million. Their children overwhelm schools, medical facilities with anchor babies and tens of thousands fill California jails. Total cost annually exceeds $10.3 billion paid for by California taxpayers. Today, California’s debt runs in the red at $24 billion. A whopping 86 of their hospitals and ER wards bankrupted out of existence in the past six years.
A closer look shows Colorado following in California’s footsteps. At first, Los Angeles promoted “Special Order 40” in 1979, which gave criminal aliens immunity from arrest and deportation. It remains in effect. Former Denver Mayor Webb and now Mayor John Hickenlooper continue that same “Sanctuary Policy” that protects criminal aliens from arrest and deportation in Colorado. We suffer 12,000 Mexican gang members in Denver in 2009. They run the drugs to our schools and in our back alleys with immunity from prosecution and deportation because of Hickenlooper’s Sanctuary City Policy.
That kind of protection emboldened criminal aliens and their families to grow to four million in California. Today, Colorado suffers 700,000 illegal aliens and their children. A compelling Colorado website www.cairco.org shows that Coloradans pay out $1.2 billion annually for illegal aliens. Nationally, from the Edwin Rubenstein report, U.S. taxpayers shell out $346 billion for criminal aliens across 15 federal agencies including ‘free lunch and breakfast’ programs for illegals’ kids. (Source: www.thesocialcontract.com)
If Ritter and the Colorado legislature enforced laws passed in August 2006 to rid the state of criminal aliens—voila—no more budget shortfall, but in fact, a surplus! But Mayor Hickenlooper refuses to enforce Initiative 100 that would impound vehicles driven by criminal aliens when they cannot show a driver’s license and insurance. Ritter refuses to expand 286 G, 1023 and two other laws designed to eject criminal aliens from Colorado.
Thus, taxpayers continue to pay the freight while the governor and legislature twiddle their thumbs with a $384 million shortfall.
Therefore, what can you do as a citizen to stop this “long process of deterioration”? That’s the big question! How do we citizens encourage, cajole and push our governor and Colorado legislators NOT to follow in California’s footsteps?
It proves so simple: enforce our laws!
–Governor Ritter needs to push ICE to enforce employment laws in Colorado. Take the jobs magnet away from 700,000 criminal aliens in our state and you will see a mass exodus where the laws are enforced.
–Governor Ritter needs to expand 287 G that allows more police officers to make arrests and initiate deportation proceedings against illegal aliens.
–Governor Ritter needs to enforce HB 1023.
–Governor Ritter must pursue employers of illegal aliens and put them out of business. He must stop the corruption that allows hundreds of employers to enjoy their own slave labor and under the table cash payments. That would allow Coloradans to work at a living wage, be paid above the table and bring taxes into our state.
–By Ritter doing his job, we run 700,000 illegal aliens out of Colorado along with their children. This would save $925 million a year in educational costs, $82 million in medical costs and $38 million in prison costs annually. (Source: www.fairus.org)
–Mayor John Hickenlooper rescinds the “Sanctuary Policy” for Denver and enforces Initiative 100.
–Call Governor Ritter at: 303 866 2471. Call John Hickenlooper at 720 865 9000.
What got us into this fiscal mess? Our leaders for 20 years watched illegal immigration grow and expand to make obscene profits for a few wealthy companies. A few benefitted while we citizens subsidized their crimes. Today, it’s out of hand with a national 10 percent unemployment of our citizens. Our state suffers $384 million in the hole and our nation suffers $10.3 trillion in the financial abyss!
It’s time to make Ritter and Hickenlooper accountable to our Colorado Constitution and the U.S. Constitution. It’s time for U.S. Senators Udall and Bennett to quit making excuses for criminal aliens and enforce the laws of our country.

This three minute interview with Adam Schrager on “Your Show” May 4, 2008, NBC Channel 9 News, addresses the ramifications of adding 120 million people to USA in 35 years and six million people to Colorado as to water shortages, air pollution, loss of farmland, energy costs and degradation of quality of life. In the interview, Frosty Wooldridge explains the ramifications of adding 120 million people to the USA in 35 years. He advances new concepts such as a “Colorado Carrying Capacity Policy”; “Colorado Environmental Impact Policy”; “Colorado Water Usage Policy”; “Colorado Sustainable Population Policy”. Nationally, the USA needs a “National Sustainable Population Policy” to determine the carrying capacity of this nation for the short and long term. Wooldridge is available for interviews on radio and TV having interviewed on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and FOX.

I don’t know why I responded to your blogs; you don’t have a rebuttal and refuse learn anything. I hate starting out with insults, but find myself doing it particularly with your posts. You give a bunch of statistics and then hide your opinion behind them. That’s fine if you first look at the statistic in entirety and then develop an opinion, but you search out facts and statistics that will back up your very bias opinion. All I’m saying is why don’t you look at these numbers/ facts from at least one other perspective.
What rights do you have to call this land yours and to tell anybody else it‘s not theirs? Is it because you were born here or maybe because you love this land. As someone born here in Colorado and as someone who loves this land, I’ll telling everyone who wasn’t born here to go back to where you came from. You people are taking our jobs, increasing our crime rates, and distorting our language. If you moved here I’m tell you, under the same authority Frosty commands over Latinos, to get out of here. Frosty, if you were born here do you want to help build a fence around Colorado?
When we are having high unemployment numbers, why do you think the solution to the overwhelming of schools and medical facilities is to get rid of people? Wouldn’t it be better to retrain folks to meet the demand and decrease unemployment?
You have a problem with illegals not paying taxes, I have a problem with taxes. But in your problem doesn’t it include everybody who doesn’t pay taxes? Is it any better when a legal American runs out on a bill or don’t pay taxes?
Why is it that you only focus on the US when it come to overpopulating? If you believe we are overpopulated then don’t you see that it would be a global problem? So why then does it matter if some is here or there, since it doesn’t effect the total number? I know this is a hard one for you to get, so let me try and explain. If you have five beads in one hand and also five in the other, you have a total of ten beads. If move three beads from one hand to other, you still have ten beads total. Fill free to do this demonstration yourself so you might understand.
Under every number and behind ever problem you see an illegal. I’ve never had a problem with an illegal because of their status. So my last question to you is, why is all of your problems of because of illegals, but yet I have never had a single problem because of illegals?
Excellent questions Nathan:
As a journalist, I support every figure with sources. I write about the facts and then, as an oped writer, I extrapolate my own bias based on my experiences. As a world traveler, I’ve already seen what we face and the devastation to humanity. As Dr. Bartlett from CU says, the USA is the most overpopulated country in the world because each American uses more resources and destroys more habitat than other humans on the planet. When we add more people, their ecological footprint jumps from .5 to 12.6 acres as soon as they arrive in the USA. Therefore, immigration both legal and illegal costs all of us and is not sustainable. Name one advantage of adding 100 million to the USA in the next 30 years. Those are the facts and I report them. You can get emotional about it or you can get ‘real’. We need a total moratorium on all immigration. We cannot keep adding people to this civilization and hope for it to remain sustainable. It already isn’t sustainable. Mother Nature will not tolerate what we’re doing. This is not about race, creed or color. It’s about overpopulation in the US and the world. I am creating the discussion and the debate. FW
Wow, you half answered one of my many questions. As a world traveler myself, which has nothing to do with anything, I got to add a question to the many you didn’t even attempt to answer. Since “American uses more resources and destroys more habitat than other humans on the planet” why are you concerned with ridding us immigrants instead of lowering the environmental impact each person has? It seems to me (and my emotions) that we wont solve your environmental disaster until we lessen our impact per individual. But that’s not your passion. Your passion is stretching every thread to make your anti-immigration blanket big enough to cover all problems. If you’re saying immigrants are coming here and picking up the American, polluting lifestyle, then not only do I know that you refuse to get to know a single immigrant but also that you are thereby stating the problem as being our lifestyle, not immigration. Latino’s, which I feel comfortable using being as though that cover the majority of immigrants, live in small apartments and commute to work. They share meals, beds, and really anything else you can think of. Therefore I will tell you as someone who has gotten to know many immigrants, that their environmental impact is far less then our own. But that’s not even the point; the point is, by you saying that the immigrants cohesion to American lifestyle is the problem, you are saying our life style is the problem. So if you didn’t have an alternative addenda, you would focus on changing the American life style. But you do have an addenda with everything thing you learn and create. You are bias and don’t want to look at anything other then immigration. That is why you instantly transform everything you see, hear, learn, into an immigration problem. I don’t know what your traumatizing experience was with immigrants, but you need to work it out on your own, without spewing your hateful redirect. Deal with the real problems instead of stuffing them under immigrants.
If you want to know some positive aspects that can come out of immigrants, I’ll tell you. But the truth is you don’t want to know anything positive about immigration. If you did want to know anything outside of your anti-immigration ignorance then you would simply open your eyes, even to yourself.
I lay on the passion and sometime venture to insult when it comes to immigration because this agreement is founded on hate. What right do you have over them?
I am actually against mass immigration, but only because circumstances that forces it. Mexican want to stay in Mexico and Americans want them to stay in Mexico too. So why not tackle the reason behind their immigration instead of building a wall to try an hide the problem. I know that education is at least on your list of solutions to solve mass immigration, but it should be the only thing on the list. You shouldn’t have a problem with immigrants. Again you should have a problem with the impact each person is having on the environment and you should have a problem with world population. Neither of these two problem has anything to do with immigration. Did you do my bead exercise?
Alright I guess I shouldn’t be an ass. Most activist have good intensions, as I’m sure you do. I just wish I could get you to peak outside your immigration blanket, so you could see the real problems.
Nathan,
I write 12 hours a day on this issue. I’m 40 years older than you and have traveled across 6 continents and nearly 100 countries. I know more than you X’s 100. I don’t have time to get all emotional about the aspects of immigration. It’s sheer population overload and you have obviously flunked 6th grade math. You cannot pour two gallons of water into a one gallon container. You cannot exceed the carrying capacity of the land. You cannot continue overshoot. You cannot keep multiplying forever on a finite planet. Instead of your emotions, engage your brain. Or, go out writing and speaking to add 18 million immigrants a year because that’s how many humans die annually around the planet, so we could save them by bringing them here. Get your head out of your ass and think man, think. We cannot sustain unending immigration. FW
You biked across 6 out of 7 continents! Wow, I have a new respect for you. Will you post that on every blog just incase I forget it. Oh my, and on op of that your old. Wow, you must really know what your talking about.
You write for 12 hours a day on immigration, but you don’t have the time to explain, right? Maybe that’s the problem, you won’t shut your month longer enough to hear anything else. I too have a superiority complex that allows me to ignore the faults in my logic. I’m with you bro.
Logic to ignore: If we decrease the impact per person then your environmental disaster would disappear. America has the wealth to invest in environmental friendly technology to decrease our impact. In one way or another you are the child of immigrants. If you have two gallons it doesn’t matter what you do with it, it will always be two gallons. Education leads to lower birth rates. Poverty contributes to higher birth rates. The fact that your in your mid 60’s and still kickin’ is a major contributor to the population boom.
Adding to your solution: If Americans cause more of an environmental impact then the rest of the world and you see the solution as decreasing the population here, then why not have Americans immigrate to Mexico? People pollute less when they’re in Mexico right? Increasing the death rate is equally effective as controlling the birth rate.
Did you really learn that math in the 6th grade? You must have been a real overachiever.
Nathan,
You still do not grasp the enormity of this civilization busting dilemma. I feel like I’m a college professor trying to educate a 3rd grader to understand Quantum Physics, but you don’t possess the foundation to comprehend, but you’re stubborn enough to think you know what you’re talking about. You do not! I don’t have time for this waste of my time. FW
Gentlemen,
The real dilemma is that the problem is much larger than immigration. One facet of a multi-dimensional world crisis is nowhere to get lost in delusion. Frosty, as brilliant and tenacious as you are in your post on this one aspect, you fail to go to the heart of the matter. World economics is the heart of illegal immigration. People would not willing leave their homes and families in mass migrations if it were not economically beneficial. Therefore I suggest you incorporate the larger issue of how we in this country have become slaves to the Federal Reserve and how those policies are really the problem since it is the money masters who benefit from illegal immigration at the expense of the common man. I know you may argue “focus man” as you are surely focused on immigration but I again emphasize the larger picture. For example your latest post on California emphasizes ecological damage when all the news focuses on California’s economic dilemma. Also, let me point out that when the shit hits the fan immigration will be far down the list of priorities. And the real force behind shit hitting the fan? World economics! That is your history lesson as well as your wake-up call for today. Nathan, you are a good man too and you are seeing the larger problem to some extent so please keep your vessel open to learning and don’t allow bitterness or pettiness to close the portal to greater knowledge like so many before you have allowed themselves to sink. Keep the faith, both of you, but keep your doors open too!
Now, a test. If you want to explore what is beyond the mass media window open this door and explore for yourselves what you can find if you leave the money controlled media world. This link will begin your journey to deeper regions of knowledge!

Star Eagle,
Excellent and thank you. My latest post on Friday will spell it all out. Excellent wisdom by you. Thank you. Frosty
Frosty,
Although my bitterness at you inability to answers simple questions remains, I still would like to apologize for the way handled it. As I said in my first response, I don’t know why I respond to your blogs. I knew that you were intolerant to question and criticism, so I’m sorry for pushing you. I will retreat with my opinion and continue letting you live in your winter wonder land.
Star Eagle,
You’re right about keeping doors open and I shut it through my smart-ass writing to Frosty. I will continue looking for knowledge with this lesson learned. Wild site!
Will someone please tell me how treating the symptom that is immigration will help solve the cause that is poverty and lack of education? Or is it that we don’t care as long as the fence blocks it from our vision?
Let’s make this very crystal clear again. There is nothing positive about legal or illegal migration into the US in the 21st century. No amount of sob stories about immigrants can justify adding another 100 million people to this country. We cannot help the world continue to add 77 million humans annually only to use our civilization as an international Kleenex! No emotions will work. Name calling won’t cut it. We suffer overshoot and overload already and we are not sustainable. Citizens of the Earth must be personally accountable and personally responsible for their own countries and birth rates. Iran is taking responsibility and so must Mexico. I answer all your questions in my latest book: American on the Brink: The Next Added 100 Million Americans. It’s thorough, sourced and I personally witnessed everything in that book in my 6 continent world travels. Folks, hold on to your horses, this century will be a hell of a bumpy ride for everyone. FW
Just so everyone knows the truth about this overpopulation excuse for anti-immigration:
Mexico’s fertility rate is on the decline and is currently at 2.2%, which means they are almost at a break-even point. Second generation Americans (or damn Mexican as you know them) fertility rate drops from around 3.5% for first generation Americans, to around to 2.4% for second generation. Multigenerational Americans actually have a fertility rate of 1.8% which means there is lesser and lesser of them/ us. U.S. is at 2.1% overall which is as close to break even as you can get. Americans population without immigration is actually on the decline. Less whites more Latino’s is what the data shows. Oh my, the counties getting darker, so clearly the countries going to hell! Right Frosty!
Thanks Frosty. I look forward to Friday!
Nathan, here is another interesting site I am also on right now. This movie, “Life on the Edge of a Bubble” really intrigues me.
