The skill of the reactionary right in this country to manipulte is without parallel. The stage, drama and show are all orchestrated pablum for the media to disburse and broadcast to present the idiotic notion that there are 2 sides to an issue. Why not 3, 4, or twelve sides? That would be too difficult, too much airtime, too much explaining. I claimed that the protestors were composed mostly of minions, manipulated by the orchestral conductors of this political farce. Who are they you might ask?
They are the ones who are smart enough to “know” they will lose something be it concentration of capital for a function that adds no value to a product and or some power. Interests in money and power replace the moral and ethical compasses most of us have. But these people are in the minority, they are able to glean fringe range statistics to question the numbers of uninsured. Do they EVER include those who pay and have paid but are then not covered by so called insurance? They state definitevely that some millions don’t want insurance, because they have the theoretical income to pay for it. Do they ever come out and say “well many of those millions had to prioritize something ahead of an insurance policy of questionable coverage?” Of course not. The numbers who would participate medical services I am sure greatly exceeds those who want to pay for “insurance.”
So for the Nicks of the world; no I am not questioning your intellect as you question mine by calling me a pseudo-intellectual, I do question the existence of a moral or ethical compass and your honesty. I do not think someone is “stupid” just for disagreeing with me. But if you were so smart, what alternative to the failed health care we have now do you propose? You don’t have one and support what there is now, maybe that means you’re stupid, not your disagreeing.
Here is a link from that libelous, liberal, slandering rag the Washington Post (truly one of the great newspapers in my opinion) to get the frothing mental midgetry of the “right wing’ going;
