Eight positions have been cut from town staff in Snowmass Village next year.
Elected leaders last night approved one million dollars in cuts to the 2010 budget.
 

Still no word on whether Garfield County Sheriff Lou Vallario will amend his strict requirements for volunteer groups; background checks include looking into a person’s sexual and financial history.
That includes members of search and rescue.
Several team members say they’ll quit in November.
 

We will be featuring an interview on Thursday with Aspen Police officer Rick Magnuson—–who will let us know more about the policies for partiers over Halloween—-just a little over one week away.
