54 year old Howard Keiffer—a high school graduate—apparently was savvy enough to convince Aspenite Gwen Bergman last year that he was the man to represent her in court.
Keiffer appeared in Denver Court this week—-accused of bilking Bergman out of 65 thousand dollars for his “attorney” fees.  Bergman was later convicted of arranging to have the father of her son killed—-and now she’s planning an appeal based on what’s happened to the man who said he was a lawyer—- Keiffer faces fines of one million dollars and several years in jail.
Ski Sunlight opens for the season on Friday—-several trails will be open.
Aspen highlands and buttermilk open on December 12th.
