About 65 percent of terrain at the sum of all mountains of the Aspen Skiing company is open now—-the snow received a few days ago has been groomed…almost all of Snowmass will be open by the weekend.
After a study on Tuesday of the policy about serving alcohol at X –Games—the board of Pitkin County Commissioners agreed to allow drinking by VIP’s at private suites at the base of buttermilk—-but continued its ban to the general public.  If however, the VIP suites are located in the tall towers overlooking the race courses and the superpipe—no alcohol will be permitted there.  Commissioner Rachel Richards was the only member of the BOCC to point out the contradiction in the imaging: alcohol free X-games not completely accurate—–but the wine will flow along with other alcoholic beverages at this winter X for the VIPs only.  Winter X games will be held at Buttermilk the weekend of January 28th.
