A photo released by police of the suspect who robbed the Basalt Seven Eleven store last weekend, shows a man (age not specified) about five and one half feet tall—130 pounds —a beard and, according to the store clerk—-the robber spoke both English and Spanish. The store was robbed just after midnight last Friday…..police ask that you call 927-4316 if you can offer additional information about the suspect.
The popular ski Train from Denver to Winter Park was to have started up service again this Sunday, but hundreds of skiers may be disappointed.
Amtrak announced on Tuesday, that no firm agreement has been signed with Iowa Pacific Holdings to help with the cost of running the operation.
Iowa Pacific operates a number of summer excursion trains in Colorado—and has been bidding to take over the operation from the Anschutz Company.
A big issue to be resolved before the train can go to Winter Park: staffing; labor costs could nix the deal.
