The man who is alleged to have robbed Clark’s market in Basalt over the weekend has been identified.  28 year old Jonas Garcia Leon Jr., who worked at the store more than one year ago and who lived only blocks away, was recognized by several employees at the time of the heist, including the clerk who responded “are you kidding?” when Leon, also known as Junior, brandished a handgun and demanded money.
He made off with more than one thousand dollars in cash.
But Police were quickly at the home of the suspect. Leon surrendered without incident, and is being held in Eagle County jail on 15 thousand dollars bond.
